Sometimes, you just want to get away from it all and hide in your own little man cave. There’s nothing like a special space in your home where you can be alone to play your games or take on your hobbies, or even just relax and watch some TV. No matter what space you’d be using for your little retreats, here are some great man cave ideas you can try to spice up your space.

1. Barrel Bar
There’s nothing like a bottle of beer while you’re watching your favorite sport or binge watching Game of Thrones. Don’t just stock up all your alcohol in the fridge, get creative! Recycle a barrel to make an ice chest or wine storage to get a vintage vibe.
2. Beer bottle glasses
Here’s a cool addition to your bar: glasses made from beer bottles. All you have to do is cut out the neck of the beer bottle and sand out the top and the edges of what’s left in order to smoothen it out. You’ll have a unique set of beer glasses you won’t see everywhere. Not to mention, you didn’t have to pay extra for them too!
3. Baseball table
This is something for the sporty man, a DIY baseball table. All you need are four baseball bats as legs and a round wood in which you’ll draw a baseball as a table top. Put them all together and you have the perfect sports lover’s furniture.
4. Jack Daniels Soap Dispenser
This is very simple to do, yet it adds a cool accent to your man cave or your bathroom. You just take an old Jack Daniels bottle, pour in a soap dispenser or hand sanitizer, then close it with a dispenser head. If Jack Daniels isn’t really your favorite liquor, you’re free to do it with any other wine bottle.
5. Football Rug
If you can’t get your head out of the game, you might as well make it a part of your cave. A football rug can add a sporty and youthful kind of vibe to the room. See here for a tutorial on how to make one.
6. Jersey pillow cases
Here’s a perfect addition to your bed or sofa. Just stuff your bed or sofa pillow in an old jersey. Whether it’s NFL, NBA or NBL season, feel free to use any of your favorite team’s jersey. On the other hand, save those signed jerseys for this project since washing these pillow cases is needed every now and then.
7. Man cave sign
It may not seem like a huge deal, but a sign somehow makes it your official territory. It’s like telling everybody it’s off limits or you are off limits once you’re inside. When coming up with your own sign, it is always best to personalize it.
8. Dart board backing
There are some nights you’d probably like to vent by hitting a target. Or perhaps you’d just want to mindlessly play darts while thinking. Stop worrying about dents in your wall by creating a backing. All you need is an old cork board or a bunch of old wine corks. Put wine corks together and use it as a frame for your dart board. You won’t have to worry about unsightly holes anymore.
9. Tire furniture
Recycling old tires won’t only show your love for cars, it would make mother nature happy too! Use your old tires to create chairs or coffee tables. You’ll have a nice furniture and nature will love you for it. It’s amazing what a touch of color and creativity can do!
